As a Senior Spatial Information Officer, you will lead the Bulk Watercourse Determination project, collaborating with various teams to develop methodologies and workflows that classify unmapped features on the Watercourse Identification Map. The team thrives on collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to sustainable growth, ensuring that Queensland's communities and resources flourish.

You'll be responsible for

Leading project delivery

Taking the technical lead for the Bulk Watercourse Determination project, ensuring effective delivery and alignment with agency requirements.

Collaborating with teams

Working closely with Spatial Services, Remote Sensing, and Data Services teams to access datasets and build automated workflows.

Providing specialist advice

Offering expert advice and support in mapping, GIS, remote sensing, and associated technologies to departmental officers and customers.

Key criteria

Bachelor's degree in relevant field

Possession of a degree in Spatial Science or related discipline.
