About the role

What you’ll do: As a Building Performance Engineer at CIM, you’ll work alongside a Customer Success Manager where your primary objective will be to improve building performance and maximise building energy efficiency with our clients.
- Conduct in depth building performance audits utilising real time operational building data.
- Provides detailed optimisation recommendations, ongoing system monitoring and fine tuning recommendations
- Analyse key building operational metrics including; historical energy consumption, load profiles, overnight base loads, deviations from industry best practice control strategies, indoor environment performance and equipment operations benchmarking
- Quantify identified opportunities to better facilitate return on investment decision making for owners and operators.
- Drive regular engagement with stakeholders from all levels, and lead technical workshops with service contractors and onsite facilities teams to senior operations leaders, ESG teams and asset managers to implement, fine tune and report on energy efficiency recommendations and solutions
- Validation and quantification of impact to demonstrate cost reductions, energy efficiencies gained and progress towards targets.
- Be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience for CIM clients.
- Be a PEAK expert and an advocate for CIM, ensuring clients understand the value our platform provides
Who we are looking for:
- University Qualification in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronic/BMS engineering (or a similar field)
- 3-5 years experience in the HVAC industry
- Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and in depth knowledge of building services
- Previous experience with energy analysis
- Familiar with NABERS and Greenstar star requirements
- Experience being in a customer facing role
- Proven experience of working in a fast-paced environment
- Competitive and achievement orientated
- Ability to work autonomously
- Possession of a positive attitude and an interest in learning
- Willing to step-up to help fellow team members
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel to client sites. Full drivers licence required.

Who you’ll work with:
- This role will report to the Head of Engineering and will work alongside Sydney based Customer Success Managers (CSM)
- Key internal stakeholders are the wider CS team, as well as sales, marketing, and product teams
