About the role

About Your Role

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, as a Solutions Architect at Annalise.ai, you will use your passion for software development to drive the development of break-through software products that positively impact patient lives at scale. You will work to build a core part of our product by navigating through new challenges and producing scalable solutions to meet them. You will enjoy a high degree of autonomy working on initiatives from start to finish in a supportive, flexible team environment.

What You Bring:

- Bachelors/Master’s degree in computer science or IT or Electrical/Electronics or equivalent discipline, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to technically lead a software development team.
- Proficiency developing backend applications using [Node.js/Typescript](http://node.js/Typescript), Python.
- Experience integrating with distributed messaging queues such as SQS or RabbitMQ.
- Experienced with standard Agile software practices such as CI/CD pipelines, Git flow, and unit-testing.
- Experience with application architectures and development of complex products.
- Experience building and running containerised applications using Docker.
- Experience building On-prem/Cloud applications using any of AWS/Azure/GCP
- Strong communicator with an ability to effectively work across teams.
- Passionate and pragmatic about Product Quality.

Nice To Have Skills:

- Experience with Tensorflow, PyTorch, Tensorflow Serving.
- Extensive experience building complex Software applications using one or more of available Tools/Technologies like Java/J2EE, .NET, PHP, Go, Python, etc..
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript and UI/UX design.
- Exposure to Architecture/Design/Integration patterns.
- Experience in developing software for medical devices.
- Experience with medical imaging and associated technologies (e.g. DICOM, FHIR, HL7).

What You Do:

Strategic Vision & Solution Design: • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to deeply understand business needs – past, present, and future – and translate them into effective, actionable technical solutions, • Design and thoroughly document comprehensive solution architectures, carefully considering technology stacks, system integrations, and data flows, and • Ensure solutions are strategically aligned with business objectives, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (security, privacy, compliance).

Technical Leadership & Mentorship: • Serve as a key technical advisor to engineering teams, providing clear guidance on software development, security, and DevOps best practices. • Champion the adoption of modern engineering practices, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation. • Evaluate and recommend suitable technologies, platforms, and services, strategically balancing build vs. buy decisions.

Architectural Integrity & Optimisation: • Establish and maintain robust architectural principles, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment across all projects, • Conduct thorough trade-off analyses (performance, scalability, cost, security) to optimise solutions for both immediate and long-term sustainability, and • Utilise fitness functions and other methodologies to validate architecture compliance with key principles.

Proactive Risk Mitigation & Innovation Driver: • Proactively identify technical risks and develop effective mitigation strategies, • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, driving innovation by introducing new tools and methodologies, and • Continuously review and refine solutions based on the evolving business and technology landscape.

Communication & Collaborative Excellence: • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring understanding and alignment, and • Work collaboratively with software engineers, DevOps teams, product managers, and external partners to achieve shared objectives.
