About the role

We are seeking a high-performing Assistant Development Manager to join this market disrupting sector, with a strong pipeline of projects at different stages of delivery, in our Land Lease Communities Team in Victoria. This position will be responsible for driving project performance by engaging with key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the project vision and agreed outcomes.   Supporting experienced Development Manager and Project Director, this diverse and rewarding role will see you develop your skillset in a growing asset class. The role is a unique opportunity to work in a high-profile and strategic sector for Stockland, with projects incorporating elements of land, residential built form, and commercial development. These over-50s lifestyle communities typically comprise freestanding homes, clubhouse and recreational facilities (pools, bowling greens, etc.). This role will work on our East portfolio across and be based from our Melbourne CBD office based on Collins street.   Key Responsibilities

  •  Assist the Development Manager to ensure the project is scoped, designed, and delivered in accordance with the business strategy, agreed vision, and target profitability levels.
  • Support project delivery to ensure schedule, revenue, and cost objectives are met.
  • Assist with driving the sales and marketing activities to achieve business plan objectives.
  • Assist with the management of design development and review against relevant design standards.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including authorities.
  • Control and monitor development budgets and financial reporting.
  • Monitor progress on site, participate in site meetings, and follow up on actions.
  • Monitor market and competitor activity to maintain competitiveness.

  • A degree in a related discipline with prior relevant experience in planning, property, development, or construction and/or extensive relevant experience.

  • Knowledge of the full development lifecycle.
  • The ability to ask the right questions to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Developed stakeholder management and influencing skills.
