About the role
We exist to accelerate financial wellbeing through home ownership, now and for the future. Our mission is to create innovative and tailored solutions in partnership with our customers. We aim to do this efficiently and conveniently, leveraging state of the art technology and data solutions.
As the Cyber Operations Graduate, you will be responsible for supporting the Cyber Security team’s efforts to secure and monitor Helia’s technology platforms against cyber threats. You will also assist with project initiatives and incident response preparation activities across the Cyber Security team.
Responsibilities
- Working with the Cyber Operations team to complete BAU cyber security activities, operate and administer security tooling and monitoring platforms and assist in issue resolution.
- Identifying and recommending tooling and control improvements to continually improve Helia’s cyber security posture.
- Working with the Cyber Projects team on project initiatives and incident response preparation activities.
- Translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and promoting cyber security awareness
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to support the continuing improvement of Helia’s cyber security posture.
- Performing independent deep dives into Helia’s technology platforms and security tooling to identify areas of potential improvement.
- Actively participating in security forums and safety team membership.
- Developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders across Helia, including Digital and Cyber Risk, Technology and Operations teams, Commercial and Audit.
- Identifying improvement opportunities across our control environment, including but not limited to onboarding/offboarding users, system improvements, process automation, application reviews and cyber controls.
Qualifications
- A university graduate with a passion for process, problem solving and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, logical with unwavering attention to detail
- Willingness to learn quickly and actively seeking opportunities to grow
- Ability to balance an outcomes orientation with appropriate risk measures
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both as part of a team and independently, with limited supervision
