About the role

Job Summary As a Modern Ops Engineer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring seamless and efficient operations within a dynamic, cloud-native IT environment. You will leverage cutting-edge technologies and best practices to build, manage, and optimize cloud-based infrastructures, enabling continuous delivery and reliability of applications. You will work with some assistance to implement coding tasks following established patterns and best practices. Your role will bridge the gap between traditional IT operations and modern DevOps practices, ensuring that systems are scalable, secure, and performant. Foster team building, collaboration and knowledge sharing via onsite working days x2 per week with your team

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud infrastructure management 
  • Continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) 
  • Incident management, Request, Change or Release management
  • Security & Compliance 
  • Performance optimization 
  • Automation & Scripting 
  • Maintaining overall ticket hygiene and updated status, support customers and your team via ITSM ticket platform via Phone, in person or Teams communications
  • Monitoring, observation and remediation tasks 
  • Training and team knowledge sharing

Key Skills

  • Technical Knowledge and Understanding

  • CI/CD, automation • Cloud Platforms – AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc) operational knowledge and experience (certifications)\
