About the role:

As a Financial Accounting Manager at Envato, you will provide critical support to our accounting operations during a key transition period. Your focus will be on SOX compliance, systems implementation, and statutory reporting and audit following Envato’s acquisition by Shutterstock Inc. Working closely with the existing team, you will help deliver these key projects while supporting the team through this busy time. Additional duties may be assigned in line with the role’s requirements.

This is a 6-9 month, fixed term contract.

What you'll be doing

- Design, implement, and test key financial controls.
- Prepare and support upcoming SOX audit requirements.
- Coordinate the transition to a new accounting system.
- Assist with statutory financial reporting and technical accounting (IFRS and US GAAP).
- Support external audit requests and balance sheet reconciliation reviews.
- Contribute to month-end processes and deliver key project milestones.
- Identify and drive process improvement opportunities.
- Provide support to the Senior Financial Accounting Manager and assist with team management as required.

About you

- Strong technical accounting expertise, including knowledge of US GAAP.
- Deep understanding of financial statement risks, controls, and SOX compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Adaptable, flexible, and quick to learn new systems and processes.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across finance and cross-functional teams.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA) with ERP system experience.
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to optimize financial processes.
