This role undertakes a diverse range of legal work. No two days are the same and you will be helping support a close knit team. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- document preparation (including the use of precedents) and amendments
- proactive diary management and coordination of meeting/travel arrangements
- liaising with clients as directed by fee earners
- assisting in maintaining client databases and reporting
- answering calls and monitoring emails
- file management, including opening files and electronic filing
- assisting with end of month billing and reporting
- reconciliation of corporate AMEX expenses using Concur
- general administrative tasks
- other ad hoc duties as required
What you need To be successful in this role, exceptional organisational skills are essential as well as a high level of initiative, energy and enthusiasm and enjoy working in a team environment. You will need to be self-motivated and adaptable. In addition, you will possess the following attributes:
- 2+ years legal secretarial experience (ideally in litigation)
- a high level of confidentiality
- ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities
- strong understanding of MS Office applications
- an understanding of billing and financial systems and other software applications preferred but full training will be provided
- resilience and a commitment to excellence that matches our own
- a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- initiative and strong desire to contribute to team success
