About the role

About this role This 12 month fixed term contract for a Senior Business Analyst position within the Management Consulting service line at Grant Thornton, involves overseeing the operational readiness of a large scale logistics automation project for a Tier 1 client. A recent client engagement involved automating a major retailer's main distribution centre to increase safety, enhance efficiency and reduce costs, showcasing the team's expertise in handling large-scale, complex projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the Workstream Lead (WSL) in Operations Delivery for large scale projects
  • Stakeholder engagement and management across the client business
  • Assist in planning and modelling activities to support the delivery of the project
  • Build financial and operational models and provide actionable insights for internal project members and external stakeholders.
  • Propose next steps based on analysis
  • Conduct network volume modelling, refresh business case modelling and conduct scenario analysis.
  • Analyse volume and transition impacts outlining effects on supply to the client operations.

Skills & experience

  • Experience working in a similar environment, ideally within a Consulting environment working on large scale projects
  • Highly skilled in data analysis and interpretation, experienced with analytical tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL, Tableau etc)
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong stakeholder management, engagement and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's in Business, Economics, or Commerce
