What the day will look like

The role of the Policy Wording Executive is to provide technical product support to Aon staff across general insurance product lines. This position sits within a team of dedicated insurance technicians, who work closely together ensuring first class support to Aon staff and clients. This includes the following tasks:

  • A strong focus on the development and drafting of new and updated insurance products, with a specific focus on Aon’s own manufactured policies;
  • Review and triage insurer endorsements for the Aon Technical library so colleagues have access to derogation commentary;
  • The development and delivery of insurance product training to Aon staff, and on occasion, to Aon’s clients. Training topics vary and may focus on a refreshed or newly developed Aon insurance product, the impact of commercial contracting on insurance programs, or new tools developed by the Technical Team to assist colleagues with their day-to-day duties;
  • Collaborating with other teams within Aon to progress projects and deliver against Aon’s goals, for example, the Compliance team, Placement, the Platforms Team, and Technology.
  • Contributing to or leading the development and maintenance of tools designed to empower Aon’s colleagues to access technical resources and know-how;
  • Assist with the development of internal communications on insurance product developments and other topical insurance issues;
  • The comparison of insurance products and the drafting of supporting endorsements or derogation notices; and
  • Providing “one-off” technical advice on policy interpretation, policy coverage, and other queries as they relate to the construction of a general insurance policy.
