About the role
The Role: In this role as the Project Manager, you will assist the Program Manager in organising and coordinating the delivery streams within the Program.
You will play a key role in strategic initiatives aimed at developing and enhancing future products and capabilities on the New Payments Platform. This position requires close collaboration with NPP squad members and other teams across the AP+ organisation.
Day to day, you can expect to:
- Support the Program Manager in coordinating and aligning project activities with overall program objectives, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to delivery framework standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
- Ensure all delivery streams are progressing consistently and meeting key dates and milestones.
- Develop and maintain heatmap reporting for product enhancement capabilities to track Participant readiness status.
- Ensure effective project delivery governance and consistent application of the AP+ delivery methodology across the project environment.
- Cultivate and manage stakeholder relationships internally, while supporting external stakeholder engagement through effective relationship-building.
- Manage priorities and allocate resources to meet deliverables, ensuring the necessary skills and competencies align with the Program’s needs.
- Undertake additional duties as directed by the Program Manager.
- Liaise with sponsors and business owners to secure support, resource allocation, and stakeholder buy-in, ensuring project activities meet agreed outcomes.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Expertise in project management, and a successful track record in project management overseeing enterprise-wide projects, preferably within the payments industry.
- Experience with payment vendor applications (e.g. Swift, FIS) .
- Experience in working with the ISO 20022 standard and knowledge of the elements and business rule usage.
- Experience in payment industry working group coordination, participation, and reporting.
- Experience in guiding payment industry Participants through major change initiatives and tracking testing and readiness reporting status.
- Experience in building and managing customer/client relationships.
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders, vendors.
