Position Overview: We are currently seeking expressions of interest (EOI) for a potential opportunity for an Online Learning Facilitator in Advanced Analytics. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding participants through the intricacies of data analytics and empowering them with the skills and confidence to excel in advanced analytics and AI solutions.

The Advanced Analytics program is designed to equip data analysts with essential tools and knowledge to navigate the evolving landscape of data science. Focused on democratizing AI, the course empowers learners to extract actionable insights from data and leverage advanced analytics techniques to address real-world challenges. Covering the entire data science lifecycle, participants will gain hands-on experience in data exploration, statistical analysis, and machine learning model development using Python.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate online learning sessions, providing guidance and support to learners throughout the course duration.
  • Ensure participants comprehend and effectively apply concepts related to the data science lifecycle and AI solutions.
  • Assist learners in navigating both simple and complex data science problems, fostering independent problem-solving skills.
  • Teach statistical concepts including descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, and regression analysis.
  • Conduct practical sessions on data analysis and visualization using Python libraries.
  • Guide participants in building and evaluating foundational machine learning models in Python.
  • Incorporate discussions on ethical considerations surrounding data usage, privacy, and security into the curriculum.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree and/or Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline (in line with TEQSA AQF+1 requirements), and/or substantial work or practice-based experience
  • Industry experience in the related subject matter
  • Proven experience in facilitating online learning sessions, preferably in the field of data science or analytics.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the data science lifecycle and opportunities for AI solutions.
  • Proficiency in solving data science problems independently using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Strong grasp of statistical concepts and their application in data analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis, visualization, and machine learning.
  • Familiarity with ethical considerations related to data usage, privacy, and security.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisation & planning skills
  • A passion for helping online students succeed both academically and personally
