What you’ll be doing: The Brand Specialist role acts as the ultimate brand custodian, ensuring our values, purpose and brand personality for Virgin Australia and Velocity Frequent Flyer are accurately represented through both campaigns and design. The Brand Specialist will also work with external agencies and internal stakeholders to develop and implement exciting multi-channel brand campaigns and/or activations to deliver on our promise

You’ll be great in this role if you:

  • Have a minimum 5+ years’ experience in a fast-paced marketing environment within a large organisation
  • Enjoy working in a commercially focused environment
  • Have a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, end-to-end
  • Come with brand governance or brand custodian experience
  • Have proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, set timelines, track progress, and report on results.
  • Enjoy building and maintaining effective stakeholder engagement
  • Have experience in event production, experiential marketing, and/or activation tactics
  • Are a natural strategic and analytical thinker with strong commercial acumen
  • Have the ability to create clear, concise, and compelling messaging aligned to Virgin Australia and Velocity Frequent Flyer’s brand tone of voice
  • Have the motivation, drive, energy and an ability to stay positive under pressure
  • Have a strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines, with the ability to apply these principles
  • Are tertiary qualified in Marketing/Communications or related discipline
  • Come from a media, PR or creative agency background (desirable)
  • Have previous experience working in travel / tourism / aviation / loyalty industry (desirable)
  • Have a design or visual communications background (desirable)
