The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial records and report the cash balance on a weekly basis.
- Accounts Receivable Management:
- Generate and issue billing invoices.
- Monitor and manage collections to ensure timely payments and update the customer record accordingly
- Report on a weekly basis the status of collections and any issues encountered.
- Accounts Payable Management:
- Record and process supplier invoices.
- Handle payment processing and ensure proper documentation.
- Prepayment & Asset Management:
- Manage prepayments and fixed assets.
- Prepare and post amortisation and depreciation journal entries.
- Credit Card Management:
- Record credit card transactions accurately.
- Allocate expenses to relevant accounts and cost centres.
- Identify any irregular payments and follow up with the card holders for corresponding receipts.
- General Accounting Support:
- Assist with other accounting tasks and projects as needed.
- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Able to perform a reconciliation for non-complex balances (cash, trade receivables, payables)
Key requirements for the role:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
- Passionate about accounting and eager to learn and grow within the role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, XLOOKUP).
- Experience with accounting software, such as Netsuite, is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of journal entries and general accounting principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of relevant experience are welcome to apply.
