Job Description
As a Career Discovery Consultant, you will be the first point of contact for prospective candidates virtually visiting the Defence Careers Discovery Centre (DCDC). Your role will involve nurturing registered visitors by providing outstanding experiences through various communication channels. You will educate, inform, and guide prospects during the discovery phase of their journey, encouraging them to apply to the Australian Defence Force (ADF) when they are ready. Your efforts will contribute to successful applications and help achieve target goals.
You will:
- Manage prospect enquiries through effective case management within the DCDC and D365 digital platforms augmenting automated contacts to add value to the prospect - ADF Careers relationship.
- Maintain a high standard of written and verbal communication.
- Make sure that every interaction delivers an outstanding experience for our ADF prospect.
- Focus on delivering an informative and omni experience to our prospects by providing information about life in the ADF, roles and requirements to these, the recruitment process, matched events and engagement opportunities, upcoming sessions and the opportunities presented in becoming a member of the ADF.
- Build engagement with prospects providing an experience, not a transaction, that delivers the information and support required to foster a strong commitment to applying for a role with the ADF.
- Work effectively towards the achievement of KPIs set and communicated by DCDC Team Leader.
- Successfully work with key other teams in the Candidate Experience division and stakeholders to ensure an integrated approach to target achievement.
- Using data, insights and feedback make suggestions for improvement to processes and contact management to enhance the prospect experience.

- Experience in D365 or a similar case management platform advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration, or related field highly desired.
