About the role

The Pinterest Business Marketing team is composed of highly skilled marketing generalists, able to flex with equal strength among marketing strategy, copywriting, content development, project management, cross-functional team leadership, event planning and creative oversight. Most importantly, we are business marketers, able to capture hearts and minds of advertisers and media agencies with engaging, inspirational work that drives business impact. Expect to grow quickly, pivot often and learn a lot.

We’re looking for a Marketing Specialist to support our marketing strategy in Australia. In this role, you will partner closely with Business Marketing leadership and cross-functional partners to influence and execute the marketing strategy that supports revenue goals and brand visibility within the industry.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with Business Marketing leadership to bring the local market strategy to life in Australia, leveraging best practices, learnings, industry trends and insights on both Pinterest and competitors
  • Lead Pinterest Australia’s content marketing strategy across tentpole moments and always-on marketing
  • Own key initiatives to bring the broader marketing strategy to life, such as Pinterest-owned or third party events, webinars, partnerships, success story creation and our advertiser newsletter
  • Work closely with local and global teams to ensure that global programs resonate locally
  • Manage the measurement of local marketing activations and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, measurement and the wider marketing team

What we’re looking for:

  • 6+ years experience in integrated marketing and/or digital marketing, B2B marketing experience is a plus
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills to effectively balance multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. Passion for digital marketing and a desire to grow and develop within the field
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their advertising capabilities, with a specific focus on Pinterest (prior experience a plus)
  • Basic design capabilities and experience using design tools like the Adobe Suite, Figma and SplashThat a plus
  • Sound analytical skills, with the ability to learn how to analyse data and derive actionable insights
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent work experience

In-Office Requirement Statement:

  • We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration once per week and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from our Sydney office. The role will also include travel to the US circa once or twice per year.
