About the role
What will your typical day look like? As a Senior Analyst in our Private Tax & Advisory Sydney team, you will support a group of talented Managers, Directors, and Partners who work with Australia’s most iconic families and private enterprises, including entrants on the BRW Rich List. Your client portfolio will comprise of high new wealth individuals and family groups, all the way through to privately owned start-up enterprises and through to large mature trading businesses. You will be responsible for a portfolio of clients, delivering the below services with the support of your team: As a senior analyst in the team, you will be responsible for quality delivery and management of the following services:
- Preparation and review of client financial statements & financial reports
- Preparation and review of income tax returns for private companies, trusts, individuals and partnerships
- Preparation and review of all ATO correspondence, including Top 500 & Next 5000 ATO Private Group Reviews and general tax correspondence.
- Identifying and advising clients on complex (or tailored) tax and accounting solutions for high net wealth families and their family offices
- Act as intermediary between directors, managers and your team, assisting directors & managers on advisory engagements
- Build direct relationships with clients and provide exceptional client service
- Delegation and review of client work
- Management of multiple engagements at once
- Technical support and training of junior staff

We’re looking for someone with:
- Completed or close to completed CA qualifications
- Prior experience at a Big 4 or mid-tier professional or accounting services firm
- Solid foundation of technical skills in taxation and accounting
- Strong collaborative skills, a dedicated work ethic and excellent communication skills
- A passion for working with private clients

Meet the team
Team administers the Firm’s tax compliance, along with partner tax compliance, partner corporate compliance and all matters in relation to partner payroll, partner insurance and admissions and retirements of partners. This role will have a key focus on Firm tax.
