About the role Telstra’s in-house creative agency is looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Content Writer to develop insight-driven, engaging and authoritative content for our business and enterprise customers.

This role is central to creating high-quality, research-backed content that simplifies complex topics, establishes Telstra as an industry thought leader and supports customer engagement across digital, social, CRM, web base blogs, event collateral and enterprise communication channels.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts and marketing teams to produce content that is not only well-written but also strategically aligned with Telstra’s business goals.

Key Responsibilities In your role as a Content Writer, you will develop and deliver well-researched, engaging content tailored for enterprise customers and communities, ensuring brand consistency across various platforms, while supporting marketing and sales teams with informative materials and maintaining an evolving content approach aligned with industry trends and business objectives

Your core responsibilities: Content Creation & Strategy

  • Write, edit and proofread high-quality content, ensuring clarity, accuracy and relevance.
  • Research and develop original content ideas that align with Telstra’s business strategy and industry trends.
  • Create long-form and short-form content, including white papers, blog articles, newsletters, website copy, case studies and reports.
  • Adapt complex technical or business concepts into easy –to understand, engaging narratives within the Telstra tone of voice.

Research & Thought Leadership

  • Conduct in-depth research on business, technology and industry trends to develop insightful and credible content.
  • Work with subject matter experts across Telstra to translate technical or industry-specific knowledge into accessible content for enterprise audiences.
  • Ensure all content is data-driven and well-supported by research, interviews and industry reports.

Content Optimisation & Brand Consistency

  • Maintain and evolve brand voice, tone and messaging guidelines across business and enterprise content.
  • Work closely with marketing and digital teams to ensure content is optimized for search visibility and engagement.
  • Revise and update existing content to reflect business changes, new priorities or updated industry knowledge.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of style guides to ensure uniformity across all written materials.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with marketing, sales and product teams to determine content needs and priorities.
  • Work with our in-house creative strategist to define the content strategy and opportunities to improve our content outputs.
  • Participate in content strategy meetings, contributing new ideas and insights.
  • Work alongside designers and video teams to create compelling multimedia content when needed.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in content writing, corporate communications or B2B marketing.
  • Strong portfolio, demonstrating expertise in business writing, thought leadership and enterprise content.
  • Experience developing content for technology, telecommunications or other complex industries is a plus.
  • Proven ability to research, synthesize and present complex topics in an engaging way.
  • Understanding of SEO principles, content marketing strategies and digital publishing.
