About the role
Job Description
OMD is looking for a Business Analyst with strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively translate data into insights, You will work closely with the business team, including media planners and strategists, to analyse media and market data to deliver valuable and actionable insights to our client. The successful candidate needs to be proficient in marketing effectiveness principles, experienced in diagnosing marketing problems, possess deep analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate findings to a range of stakeholders. What you'll do:
- Ensure the ongoing maintenance and optimisation of Media Mix Models, delivering robust insights that inform marketing investment decisions
- Take full ownership of competitive analysis reporting, aligning outputs with brand priorities and presenting key findings to the broader marketing community
- Lead and contribute to high-impact strategic analytics projects that support senior client stakeholders in driving business growth
- Support the design and execution of an effectiveness-led experimentation program, embedding a test-and-learn culture across campaign activities
- Champion and foster a culture of marketing effectiveness within both internal teams and client engagements
- Ensure timely delivery of all scheduled and ad hoc analytical outputs, maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail
- Collaborate with the Business Management team to present reports, strategic points of view, and insights to clients through both in-person meetings and virtual engagements
What you'll need:
- Experience in a media or quantitative data driven field
- Strong Excel (modelling and data analysis) - advanced statistical and data science skills is desirable but not essential
- Understanding of marketing effectiveness or marketing science
- Ability to synthesise and visualise data in a compelling and actionable format
- Strong commercial acumen and a knack for uncovering insights from data
- A proactive self-starter, with strong communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability to monitor market dynamics, including demand fluctuations and competitor activity
- Ability to work well with others and work in cross functional teams
- Competitive analysis tools (AQX, AdGile, SMI etc) experience is desirable but not essential
