About the role
What's the job? As a Porter, you will carry out tasks related to guest movement in and out of the hotel. This includes in-house guests and other patrons visiting the hotel to utilise hotel facilitates. In addition, this role is responsible for the security and delivery of guest luggage and assisting guests with enquires and messages.
- Maintain cleanliness of the lobby area, driveway, & baggage area by removing rubbish.
- Escort guests and their bags to the room, whilst providing a personalised service delivery.
- Be familiar with all in house events and hotel facilities, including opening and closing times of outlets.
- Valet guest cars safely and securely.
- Welcome guests and assist with any enquiries
- Assist with directions both internally within the hotel and externally, providing transport options where applicable. Escort accommodation guests from driveway to Reception and then on to room ensuring they are familiar with room facilities, Hotel outlets and are completely comfortable in their room.
- Ensure departing guests are assisted with luggage and their method of transport is anticipated and arrange for them so that their check out experience is smooth & efficient
What we need from you
- Hold a current and valid driver’s license.
- Have experience in a similar role, preferably within a luxury environment.
- Must have working rights in Australia to be considered for the role
