About the role

As a Purchasing Promotions Coordinator, you will play a key role in shaping and executing Kogan.com’s promotional strategy. Working within the Purchasing Team, you will collaborate with Category Managers and Marketing teams to develop, manage, and optimise promotional activities that align with business objectives. Your insights and coordination will ensure our promotional calendar is effectively executed, delivering strong results while maintaining target margins.

This role is ideal for team members with experience in retail, eCommerce, merchandising, or marketing, particularly those who have worked in promotions, pricing, or category management. In this role you'll be responsible for:

- Developing and executing the promotional framework and calendar for the In-Stock business.
- Acting as the key liaison between Purchasing and Marketing, ensuring seamless communication and execution of promotions.
- Supporting Category Managers in making data-driven decisions regarding promotional activities.
- Briefing the Marketing Promotions team with high-quality promotional plans to ensure successful execution.
- Coordinating all promotional elements including banners, homepage elements, signposting, announcements, and high-price displays.
- Monitoring and analysing promotion performance, making data-backed recommendations for improvements.
- Ensuring all promotional activities align with [Kogan.com](http://kogan.com/)’s Marketing Promotion & Channel Plan.
- Working closely with the Pricing Analyst to ensure pricing and promotions are aligned.
- Collaborating with Marketing and Engineering to maintain accuracy and visibility of promotions across platforms.

To be successful in this role, you should be:

- University degree qualified in a relevant field (Commerce, Business, Marketing, or similar).
- Have practical experience with marketing promotions and / or pricing, ideally in a Retail or eCommerce environment.
- Analytical, with the ability to make data-driven recommendations.
- An excellent communicator, relationship builder and coordinator, capable of working cross-functionally with different teams and different levels.
- Knowledgeable in marketing, merchandising, and pricing strategies.
- Proactive, analytical, and collaborative, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused, with a strong passion for eCommerce.
- Commercially minded, able to recognise opportunities and make quick decisions for the best business outcomes.
- Adaptable and agile, comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to use various IT and cloud-based tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
