About the role
About The Role Reporting to the Team Lead – Asset Management, the Asset Engineer – Generators will fulfill a cross functional role that includes Reliability Engineering & Preventive Maintenance Planning. They are responsible for delivering strategic asset management for the designated asset classes (Primarily Generators & Fuel Storage). This role will be based out of our Lonsdale Street, Melbourne CBD offices. What you’ll be doing:
- Reviewing, developing, documenting, maintaining & executing the Asset Management Plan
- Monitoring and analysing equipment performance and recommend improvements to maintenance strategies
- Deliver programs of work to the customer with time, cost and quality as KPIs
- Monitor subcontractor performance to meet Ventia and client requirements
- Ensure budget targets are met and reported.
- Provide program completion updates to operations team
- Ensure all activities comply with the legislation and policies and in accordance with the Ventia Management Systems
- Work site safety & quality audits conducted as per specified targets
- Continuously improve asset, measurement, and failure reporting data quality
About You You will have a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or other equivalent field preferably in Telecommunications Facilities and equipment accompanied with: ** **
- Working knowledge of standards and codes in relation to Power Generating Plant and Fuel Storage, preferably in the context of telecommunications buildings
- Strong Maximo experience with understanding of data structure
- SQL Server Management Studio and PowerBI reporting
- Experience working in facility management as a reliability professional
- Experience in writing reports
- Experience in performing Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) or any other reliability techniques, e.g. MTBF and MTTR
- A demonstrated ability to achieve targets
