About the role
The Opportunity As we continue to grow in the water sector, we are looking for a Structural BIM Designer to join our Sydney team and contribute to our national water business. This role is ideal for someone with established experience who is looking to take the next step in their career by working on a diverse range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
You will have the opportunity to work on structural design for conveyance pipelines, hydraulic structures, pump stations, service reservoirs, and treatment facilities. As part of multidisciplinary team, you’ll gain exposure to end-to-end project delivery, including design, documentation, and construction phase support. Working on complex multidisciplinary projects, you’ll have a unique opportunity to directly interface with a range of in-house disciplines including planning, engineering, project management and more.
Preferably, you will have proven capability across a range of the following areas:
- Demonstrated capability to deliver projects from inception to completion working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
- Experience in leading design delivery to internal and external customers and clients
- An understanding of BIM principles within the Design process is a must.
- Proficiency with Autodesk platforms Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks is a must. Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar data environment preferred but not essential.
- A sound understanding of structural engineering principles is a must.
- Outstanding communication skills and the flexibility to work across a broad scope of technically complex projects.
