About the Role   Fixed Term Full Time - 3 years (36 months) tenure

This position is accountable for providing data driven evidence and insights, to support the the Development team’s development of future Rolling Stock and Ticketing Division business initiatives.   Role responsibilities include:   • Sourcing, validating, and analysing data which originates from other teams and organisations; • Generating data visualizations, dashboards and writing reports; • Recommending and selecting appropriate data software tools; • Ensuring data handling and usage complies with VPS standards; • Engaging with stakeholders from within and without the division; and • Presentating analysis outcomes to support executive decision-making.

Position Outcomes / Accountabilities **   • Business intelligence **- Develop and maintain data visualizations, dashboards, and reports that effectively communicate trends, insights, and performance to executive leadership and stakeholders. • Maintain divisional workforce dashboard, undertake analysis and identify key trends, for communication to divisional and interdivisional executive leadership. • **Data Managment **- Source and manage datasets for Development team use, ensuring alignment and relevance for business unit objectives, including data validation and quality. • **Stakeholder Engagement **- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate collaboration, enable data access, and provide consistent and strategically aligned communication of analysis outcomes. • Technical Advice - Provide data-driven insights and analysis to support development of key business initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.   Qualifications and Experience

Desirable • Experience in managing data and data analysis for large, distributed asset portfolios, with various subject matter expert teams located across multiple organizations. • Experience in governmental project, program and process development. • Experience navigating State Government processes.
