About the role
**About the role: ** The Analytics lead will be a core member of the Data and Analytics function within the business. This position will partner with functional leaders and business executives across the 3 brands to actively drive insights and analysis to support decision-making, optimise performance and support the further fine-tuning of our strategy. This role will act as the analytics SME and lead the delivery of reporting and insights to the business. You will play a pivotal role in leading the development of the analytics practice as well as mentoring other members of the analytics team. Reporting to the Head of Data and Analytics, this leadership role requires an individual who is passionate about data and thrives on solving analytical problems. What you’ll do:
- Lead the scope and delivery of analytics projects
- Develop insights and propose recommendations for stakeholder’s data-based decision-making
- Design and perform complex analysis e.g. MMM or user segmentation
- Act as an SME for any statistical and ML analysis
- Work with Data Engineers to understand Data Warehouse and ETL processes, including identifying any data issues and influencing future data collection approaches
- Work with Data Analysts to create and maintain metrics, reports and dashboards for stakeholders
- Partner, coach, and mentor data analysts as well as champion best data analytics practices
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years of analytics, reporting and machine learning experience working with large datasets
- Batchelor’s Degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics or Computer Science or other relevant qualifications
- Expert skills in data analysis
- Experience with reporting and visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau)
- Experience working with digital data (Google Analytics is highly desirable)
- Proficiency in SQL, dbt, Tableau, BigQuery and Python
- Good working knowledge and hands-on experience in analysis with a broad range of statistical and machine learning methods such as regression, decision trees, GBM, neural networks, clustering techniques etc
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in an agile and flexible environment and at home with managing and prioritising competing tasks for different stakeholders
- Ability to build relationships and engage with a broad spectrum of stakeholders e.g. sales, product and ELT
