The Role
Our Melbourne People and Development (P&D) team is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic People & Development Coordinator to join us full-time. Reporting to the Melbourne P&D Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the employee lifecycle and driving initiatives that ensure our firm remains a fantastic place to work.
As a key part of our People Connect team, you’ll provide support and guidance to employees and partners across a range of areas, including onboarding, secondments, policies, and day-to-day HR queries. Responsibilities Will Include Your days will be varied and rewarding, with responsibilities that include:
- Managing the end-to-end employee lifecycle process
- Collaborating with team members in other offices to handle employee queries via our People Connect hotline and inbox
- Maintaining accurate employee data in Workday, our cutting-edge HRIS
- Assisting with data analysis and reporting, including tasks like pivot tables and V-lookups
- Coordinating engaging initiatives like our Melbourne new starter orientation program
- Supporting national cyclical projects, such as performance reviews, promotion process, audits and talent reviews
- Ensuring compliance with HR procedures and the maintenance of legal practitioner practising certificates and award compliance
Skills And Experience To excel in this role, you’ll bring:
- A degree or TAFE qualification in Human Resources (or similar)
- Experience in an HR Coordinator or Administrator role
- A strong customer service mindset and ability to build great relationships
- Superb administration, organization, and attention-to-detail skills
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, V-lookups) and the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with HRIS systems like Workday — a bonus!
- Familiarity with the legal or professional services industry — nice to have
**The People and Development (P&D) team **
With a presence in each of our offices, the national P&D team forms part of our Business Advisory Services department. The P&D team provides strategic business partnering support to the business on P&D issues, driving and delivering a range of initiatives to ensure that Clayton Utz is a great place to work.
