How will I help?
Lenders mortgage insurance (LMI) plays an important role in helping customers purchase their dream homes sooner. The LMI Governance Team is responsible for the effective management of the LMI portfolio, risk profile and smooth relationships with the Group’s LMI providers. In this team, you will provide insights on the LMI performance and provide technical & operational support to solve day to day problems. You will play a key role in data projects and drive the direction for the LMI data strategy. This role is a key contact point for Mortgages stakeholders plus external LMI provider operations & underwriting teams, ensuring that the LMI business operates smoothly.
You will be responsible for:
- Extracting insights from various data sources and leveraging data analytics tools such as Tableau to report on LMI business performance
- Drawing insights on LMI health stats and industry dynamics.
- Communicating findings and recommending focus areas to stakeholders to support business objectives
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including external LMI providers regarding the provision of LMI portfolio data and reporting
- Providing technical and analytical support to key business projects
- Identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency of activities across the LMI value chain
- Building on LMI analytics capabilities to support pricing, risk management and customer experience, including end to end management of LMI reporting

What do I need?
- Strong SQL skills in querying, analysing, and manipulating data essential
- Tools such as SQL Teradata and SAS highly regarded.
- Data analytics and extracting insights
- Ability and willingness to quickly learn and grow
- Building dashboards in Tableau highly regarded
- Ability to work independently and problem solve
- Good communication skills and ability to explain insights from analysis
- Strong interpersonal skills working with internal and external stakeholders
- Mortgages experience preferred, LMI experience highly regarded
