A Finance Business Analyst collaborates with Finance Business Partners to produce monthly business unit reports and provide insights to key stakeholders. Ensuring the accuracy of budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes is a key responsibility.

Engaging in financial activities such as forecasting, budgeting, and reporting, the analyst creates Excel-based models to track business trends. You will assist in developing business plans, investment cases, and post-implementation reviews, communicating key learnings to stakeholders.

The role involves continuously seeking business improvements and maintaining positive relationships with team members. Professional development and ensuring timely, accurate financial information delivery are also integral parts of the job.  What you'll be doing - Undertake financial and accounting activities including forecasting, budgeting and reporting accurately and in a timely manner. - Provide value added financial services, analysis and support to Business Units and other key stakeholders. - Provide insight into strategy and financial analysis alongside the Finance Business Partners. - Creation and presentation of excel-based models that will help to track trends in the business and industry. - Create and drive business improvements across multiple teams. - Review of budgets and forecasts, both monthly and annual. - Contribute to the development of a culture of strong financial management throughout the business. - Contribute to the effectiveness of the Finance team - Accountable for self-development and continuous learning - Maintain positive and productive relationships with team members and key stakeholders What you'll bring to the table - Working towards a CPA or CA qualification within a Big 4 or Mid-Tier environment - Accounting experience in industry in financial analysis, reporting and management reporting - Demonstrated ability to perform analyse, interpret and present data from all facets of the business  - Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate and timely financial information in support of management decision making. - Demonstrated ability to communicate financial information to people with a non-financial background. Sound communication skills, both verbal and written. - Strong computer skills, including experience in the use of financial management systems. - Advanced Excel Spreadsheet skills   - Highlights potential improvements in current systems, processes and procedures and encourages others to accept change and gives reasons for change. - Analytical thinking and trends analysis – can see trends in data and can compile data to arrive at an accurate solution. Gathers and sorts relevant data for analysis. - Customer orientation – accurately anticipates emerging and current client needs and establishes and maintains positive relationships with customers. - Delivering results – sets own goals and consistently delivers - Proven ability to form and maintain effective and collaborative working relationship with stakeholders.
