About You We are looking for a passionate and quick-learning Supply Chain Intern who is eager to dive into the world of supply chain management. The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a degree in Commerce, Business, Supply Chain Management, Analytics, or a related field and possesses strong analytical skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team. If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and ready to support key supply chain functions while working on impactful projects in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you! The Role This position is responsible for the raising of daily transport and service order requests to a third-party logistics (3PL) provider and bulk fleet customers. Moreover, this position is to respond to daily enquiries from internal and external key stakeholders, on the ETA of vehicles, moving from in-country compounds to end destinations. Key to this role is the ability to track the operating performance of the 3PL, to maintain Microsoft forms and Excel workbook links, and to gain an understanding of the outbound vehicle process. This is a 3-month internship with the potential to extend into a full-time role upon graduation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Order-to-Delivery (OtD) vehicle register.
  • Maintain the interstate transport register.
  • Publish daily, all 3PL transport and service order requests.
  • Publish daily the Bulk Fleet service order requests.
  • Update weekly the transport ‘On-Time’ Report
  • Respond to enquires sent to OtD’s Inbox.
  • Respond to vehicle ETA, location, and delivery enquiries via Teams chat groups.
  • Facilitate the supply of vehicles to retail outlets and dealer partners.
  • Liaise with 3PL on vehicle transport and processing performance.
  • Liaise with Bulk Fleet on vehicle delivery requests.
  • Participate in weekly vehicle handover meetings.
  • Participate in weekly 3PL meetings Measure
  • Maintain Excel workbook links within registers.
  • Successfully resolve workbook link issues as they arise.
  • Interrogate data from external systems such as Salesforce and 3PL portals.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Commerce, Business, Supply Chain management, Analytics
  • Strong practical and analytical problem-solving skills with an operational focus
  • Microsoft Office Excel – Advanced
  • Microsoft Forms – Intermediate
  • Salesforce – Basic
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and time management skills.
