About the role

Position Details An exciting and unique opportunity exists for a talented and highly motivated individual to join the Delivery and Strategy Branch as a Senior Policy Officer, Strategy. The Delivery and Strategy Branch reports to the Secretary of DPC and works across government to quickly analyse and identify solutions to priority policy and delivery issues.

As a Senior Policy Officer, Strategy, you will support the Branch to deliver projects employing consulting and strategy approaches to partner with central agency shadow economic and social policy groups on cross-portfolio priority projects identified by the Premier, Secretary or other DPC senior executives.

About you As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience in policy analysis and co-ordination processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confidently conveying complex ideas and information in briefs, submissions, reports and PowerPoint presentations
  • Project management skills
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills, and proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with people at all levels
