JLL is a global leader in helping clients envision where people will live, work, play, shop, and eat.                               What this opportunity involves: We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team at JLL. As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of our two accounts. You will collaborate with key stakeholders including Operations & CRE team, our Finance Service Centre, etc. Whilst this is a hybrid role, you must be based in either Melbourne or Sydney with ability to attend the office in the CBD. What this role involves:

  • Month-end management and results
    • Coordinate the month-end accruals and reporting process, approve monthly accruals, provide detailed analysis and commentary to budget and forecast, and deliver monthly reports.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Establish key data, assumptions, and analysis for the budget and forecast. Present budget and forecast to the client.
  • Business Partnering
    • Identify risks and opportunities within the property portfolio, provide visibility to monthly results, support the JLL Finance Team, work closely with Leasing and Facilities Management teams, and provide financial advice and support to the wider JLL team.
    • Identify risks and opportunities within the account, provide visibility to monthly results, and support the Account Director.
    • Engage with internal and external clients, manage ad-hoc queries, and facilitate collaboration within the JLL property team.
  • Contract Variations and Negotiations
    • Support Account Manager in managing contract variations and negotiations, including contract interpretation and compliance, amendments, scope management, savings glide paths, reporting, and invoicing.
  • Vendor Management and Procurement
    • Work with Procurement to procure vendors and maintain vendor relationships. Monitor the profitability of the account and flag risks or opportunities.
  • Financial Reporting and Audit
    • Ensure all financial accounting and reporting are audit-worthy, monitor cost recoverability, and minimize adverse audit findings. Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes for the client and JLL.
  • Finance BAU & Accounting Activities
    • Oversee activities of the FSC Team, ensure accurate financial management, provide training and support, and identify and implement process improvements.
  • Account Finance
    • Coordinate month-end accruals and reporting, provide detailed analysis and commentary, manage aged debtor, and assist with planning and forecasting. Sound like the job you are looking for? Before you apply it’s also worth knowing what we are looking for:
  • Formal qualifications in Finance, such as CPA or CA, are highly regarded.
  • Advanced financial analytical and reporting skills, with experience in accounting or finance.
  • Over 5 years of experience in budget preparation and forecasting in a complex commercial environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage diverse client representatives and JLL stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills.
