About the role

About this role Be part of our Sydney Private Business Tax and advisory Division as a Financial Statement Reporting - Associate and play a vital role in delivering precise and compliant financial statements. Work alongside dedicated team members and esteemed clients to ensure the highest standards in financial reporting. Key responsibilities

  • Providing accounting support to PBTA team and clients in applying specific accounting standards.
  • Assist National Technical Accounting Head/Lead - PBTA in performing technical accounting research.
  • Ensure financial statements meet regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Resource for PBTA team members seeking guidance on accounting matters.
  • Compile GPFS and SPFS.
  • Ability to apply Australian Accounting Standards applicable to clients’ businesses and industries in which clients operate.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and the Corporations Act.
  • Collaborate with the PBTA team and clients for annual GPFS preparation including planning, and identification and addressing of accounting issues.

Skills & experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
  • CA/CPA preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in auditing and preparing GPFS and SPFS.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and the Corporations Act.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to changing regulations and accounting standards.
