About the role

Are you a skilled Maintenance Officer and looking for an interesting role with lots of variety? An exciting new Maintenance Officer opportunity is now available with Melbourne Airport! An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated individual to join the Aviation team in the role of Airfield Maintenance Officer. Reporting to the Airfield Civil Maintenance Manager, this position is full-time and will support Melbourne Airport across a diverse range of maintenance tasks. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance of airfield pavements, grasslands and markers/markings to ensure that current activities are safe for aircraft operations and that aerodrome visual aids and infrastructure are maintained in accordance with CASA requirements and the company's aeronautical objectives.  The role supports the smooth and efficient running of the airport facilities and grounds through the planned and unplanned maintenance, installation, and repair of assets.  Melbourne Airport is at the forefront of a dynamic expansion, poised to support the city's ascent to become Australia’s largest city within the next decade.   • Relevant maintenance type of experience with proven skills and a great attitude
  • line marking, Mowing, Pavement repairs, and general Maintenance skills
  • leadership and supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of work scheduling systems
  • Strong team-player. Collaborates well at all levels across a business
  • Demonstrates basic mechanical skills
  • Computer skills
  • Basic knowledge of airport operations (nice to have, but not mandatory)
  • Minimum Car Licence or Medium/Heavy Rigid Licence (Desirable) 
  • Developing ability to operate equipment that doesn't require licences including jackhammer, and all battery operated tools.
