About the role

How will I help? Forecast Analysts are responsible for working closely with their business partners to understand their processes, convert upcoming change into forecast impacts and ultimately support leaders to ensure we have the right people, in the right roles at the right time.  The Workforce Management Forecasting team, is part of the Business Performance team and is responsible for delivering rolling 12-month workload forecasts and capacity plans to all management levels within the Group Operations business. The function supports operations leaders to make decisions regarding recruitment and training to maintain high quality delivery to our customers.

  • Lead and/or contribute to reporting product design and build initiatives to ensure reporting services address well-defined business needs and deliver insights that support decision making relevant to stakeholders’ business imperatives
  • Convert information into knowledge and present this appropriately to a nontechnical audience.
  • Produce forecasts with an appropriate level of accuracy given constant change within a large and dynamic business
  • Understand principles of time series forecasting and an ability to convert information from business partners into appropriate forecast adjustments
  • Work with business partners to prepare ‘scenario plans’ based on continuous improvement and planned change initiatives.
  • Develop and/or enhance new and existing forecast capability.

  • Data modelling and predictive/prescriptive analytics
  • Advanced user of analytical tools such as Microsoft Excel, Tableau, PowerBI (pivot tables, macros, VBA, etc.)
  • Proficiency in one or more contemporary scripting language (SQL, Python, R, etc.)
  • Ability to rapidly analyse large datasets
  • Highly developed analytical skills- show curiosity and agile thinking; comfortable with and challenged by ambiguity
  • Build effective relationships and assimilate information quickly** **
