Your role with us: As Legal Counsel, you will be an integral part of our legal team, focusing primarily on M&A and Corporate/Commercial law. You will draft a variety of commercial contracts, spanning our marketing, sponsorship, partnership, and social media teams. • Commercial Contracting: Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a range of commercial contracts essential to the operations of the group, including but not limited to service agreements, licensing agreements, sponsorship agreements, and vendor contracts.
• **Legal Advisory: **Providing timely and practical legal advice to internal stakeholders across various departments on a range of legal issues, including technology, privacy, consumer protection, and contractual matters.
• **Legal Compliance: **Monitoring regulatory developments in the digital entertainment and gambling industries, providing advice on legal compliance matters, and implementing policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks
• M&A Support: Assisting in M&A transactions by conducting due diligence, analysing legal risks, and preparing transactional documents such as share sale agreements and share subscription agreements.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Law, admitted to practise in Australia. Certifications in technology law, intellectual property law, or privacy law are desirable.
• 3-5 years in private practice focusing on technology, intellectual property, and/or commercial transactions. Experience in M&A and due diligence is desirable.
• Proficient in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts. 
• Strong understanding of technology and digital entertainment industries.
•  Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.

Bonus points if you also have:

• Technology and Digital Entertainment acumen
• Sports & Gambling knowledge advantageous
• Cryptocurrency knowledge would be advantageous
• Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Spreadsheets, Docs), Slack, Jira & Intercom
