About the Role/Specialty

As the Manager of the Business Development Team supporting APAC, you will be responsible for leading and driving the outbound business development initiatives in the region. Your primary focus will be to initially manage three BDR rep’s and and support revenue generation across multiple markets. This role will involve managing and coaching the team, collaborating with global stakeholders, and strategically fostering new business relationships.

What you'll do 

You will lead, mentor, and manage a team of Business Development professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their success. You will develop and implement strategies to expand Canva's presence in the APAC region, aligning with the company's overall objectives. You will identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and business opportunities that drive growth and revenue in these regions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success, to ensure alignment and successful execution of business development strategies. You will analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to provide insights and recommendations for business expansion and product development. You will establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and industry partners. What we're looking for

Proven experience in business development, with a track record of success Prior experience in a managerial or leadership role, with the ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve goals. Strong understanding of the cultural and business nuances within the APAC market. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strategic thinking and ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment. Experience in the technology, SaaS, or a related industry is preferred. What's in it for you?

    Generate new sales opportunities and move them through the funnel by drafting outreach messages and sequences, and identifying the needs of customers

    Efficiently navigate the CRM and other operational tools to create, update, retrieve, and understand information about accounts and opportunities

    Identify opportunities to enhance processes and resources that enable team performance and time spent with prospects or customers
