What you’d be doing in this role We're looking for a Senior Creative with a focus on graphic design and curation, to join Canva's Content Creative group on a 3-month contract. This role will oversee content and creative strategy related to Curation, in partnership with and as defined by the team's Creative Lead. You will also be responsible, in partnership with the Creative Lead, to identify and act on gaps and opportunities in the library as it pertains to Curation and Trends, working closely with our teams across Product, Craft, Studio, and Partnerships to ensure we are championing high-quality, relevant content and it's needs across all facets of the Canva Product and its Partners. As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve. At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Supporting the Curation team projects through hands-on design tasks including
  • Template Design

    • Marketplace banner design and uploading process
    • Content auditing and curation for specific projects, Content Drops and CCS Profile Page features.
  • Development of Campaign briefs for Strategic vertical
  • Supporting the Creative Lead in defining and implementing the Creative Vision for the Curation vertical

    • Developing briefs for Creators or in-house template designers when required.
    • Briefing our Craft Teams on the content vision for your vertical, and guide them through to execution.
    • Work closely with your Creative Lead on navigating best way to leverage Craft specialists, build processes and tools to do so.

You're probably a match if:

  • You have experience as a Senior Creative creating a diverse range of content
  • You can conceptualize and develop creative ideas and strategies for curation projects
  • You have a strong portfolio demonstrating your passion for designing clean, elegant, and beautiful designs
  • You have a good eye for composition and are up-to-date with styles and trends
  • You have in-depth technical knowledge 
  • You have meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in curated content
  • You have the confidence to try new things, and a passion for big ideas and storytelling
  • You can work collaboratively in a creative team environment with cross-functional teams including writers, designers, and marketers to ensure cohesive content experiences
  • You are diligent in hitting deadlines and offer suggestions to streamline and improve team processes.
