About the role

About the role We are seeking a Senior to Associate level Environmental Consultant with 8+ years’ experience to join our talented Assessments and Approvals team in Melbourne, to help deliver a growing and varied pipeline of exciting new and ongoing projects. Joining our southern region approvals team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with our experienced and multi-disciplinary approvals team at all levels of the company, with opportunities to enhance your professional network with our national team and clients and contribute to some of the most exciting project approvals in the country. You will also regularly interact and work with State and Commonwealth regulatory agencies. You will manage and deliver assessment and approvals projects for our clients, including the preparation of proposals, referral and approval documentation, internal reviews, schedule and budget management and subcontractor and client liaison. Tasks and responsibilities

  • The delivery of high-quality approval applications and technical reports to support environmental and planning approval requirements.
  • Prepare proposals, referral and approval documentation.
  • Schedule, budget and project management.
  • Liaison with subcontractors and clients.
  • Work closely with State and Commonwealth regulatory agencies.

About you

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in environmental assessments and approvals in Victoria.
  • A relevant degree in environmental science, planning, law, or similar, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience managing clients, projects and teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to high standard.
  • Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
