About the role

Job Description With an exciting mandate to do things differently, KPMG Futures is a specialist team set up specifically to focus on the future – including future sectors, future technologies, future services, future business models and more. KPMG Futures pursues opportunities in areas such as quantum computing, Web 3.0, next-gen AI and start-up venture partnering. Our main objective is to bring to life game-changing technologies and business models to accelerate a better future for our clients and KPMG. Your Opportunity Forming part of the AI Labs team this role will play a key role in supporting the Lead Experience Designer in translating business requirements into high-quality digital experiences. This role involves creating and managing design systems, developing high-fidelity prototypes, and contributing to journey map creation. Your work will be essential in articulating technology integrations into creative solutions, whether they are web-based, smartphone-based, or spatial computing experiences. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with the Lead Experience Designer to understand and interpret business needs into creative digital solutions.
  • Design and maintain comprehensive design systems using Figma.
  • Communicate your ideas and workflow through the development of wire frames to collaborate and iterate with the team and key stakeholders.
  • Translate, creative ideas into formal reports, in preparation for research tasks and presentations.
  • Rapidly develop and iterate high-fidelity prototypes for presentations and demonstrations.
  • Participate in journey map creation to ensure seamless integration of generative AI tools and other technologies.
  • Contribute to the design and development of web, native smartphone apps, and/or spatial computing experiences.
  • Work autonomously on projects while also supporting the team with innovative ideas and solutions.

  • Design experience in UX/UI design with a focus on digital solutions.
  • Proficiency in Figma and experience in creating and managing design systems.
  • Strong ability to rapidly develop high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Innovative thinker with a solid understanding of design thinking processes and workflows.
  • Experience in journey map creation and articulating technology integrations.
  • Demonstrated expertise within Adobe creative cloud (illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Tertiary qualification (bachelor’s degree) in Design, HCD, Computer Science or similar.
