About the role

As a Collection Officer you will:

  • Maintain and control a debtors ledger to maximize collections and minimize bad debt.
  • Manage, investigate and troubleshoot customer issues, expediting resolution of credit claims by liaising with Operations, Trade, Sales, and customers.
  • Effective and mutually beneficial payment negotiations on behalf of the business within prescribed policies.
  • Achieve desired collection outcomes and manage doubtful debts to determine when to escalate for further advise as per policies and procedures.
  • Undertake receipt allocation and account reconciliation.
  • Liaise with customers to understand their business requirements, facilitate effective & simple trading that promotes service and supports collections.

  Who we’re looking for: Our ideal candidate will be a high energy team player with a can-do attitude, a result driven clear communicator with awareness around the key elements of collections. We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative thinker who can recognize priorities and move from one to the next with a positive mindset and who is able to work under pressure at a fast pace. You will have good organization, negotiation, problem solving and influencing skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a cross functional team. You will possess excellent customer service, stakeholder management and communication skills.   You’ll need:

  • Experience in collections, finance & customer service
  • Strong technical ability – Oracle is preferable, Microsoft Excel & Outlook We’re here to support you.
