About the role

DESCRIPTION Would you like to make history in the rapidly growing and transformation field of cloud computing? Would you like to spearhead a high performing team focused on enabling innovation and growth of Australian Fintech and Payments Businesses? Do you have the business savvy and enterprise IT business background necessary to help establish AWS as a key technology platform provider and business partner to Fintech and Payments businesses undergoing unprecedented transformation? We're seeking a seasoned manager to spearhead a team focused on driving adoption of AWS within our FSI segment, with a focus on Fintechs and Payments providers. You’ll grow a business focused on helping Fintech customers innovate and grow. She/he must have the business acumen and management background necessary to effectively add-value to field sellers who bring together cross-functional teams including sales, partner managers, professional services, business development, and product teams to deliver business growth for AWS and our FSI partners. Your responsibilities will include managing and growing a highly talented sales team focused on driving revenue, adoption, and market penetration. The ideal candidate will possess a sales management background that enables them to manage a team of account manager with engagements from the CxO level and manage a sales pipeline. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical problems to solve, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.

Key job responsibilities Joining AWS as a Sales Manager Fintech segment gives you the opportunity to:

• Build and manage a high performing team of strategic sales professionals • Drive adoption of AWS’ full suite of services into a set of Strategic FSI customers. • Exceed annual revenue and growth targets • Co-develop and help execute account plans with field sellers • Inspect joint-GTM activities to drive and accelerate adoption of our products, working closely with AWS partner teams • Work with demand generation teams to create sales pipeline • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts at the C-level. • Maintain an accurate forecast and various business reports. • Prepare and give business strategies and reviews to the senior management team.

About the team We are a collaborative team that treats stakeholders and teammates like customers, and aim to ensure everything we deliver provides the highest value for our customers. We are responsible for building training, authoring best practice enablement content, and disseminating best practices at scale, that directly impact our customers’ success as they operate their workloads on AWS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent - Experience in technology related sales, business development or equivalent - Experience with cross functional selling or equivalent - Demonstrated history coaching and developing field-based Account Managers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience with AWS and technology as a service (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) - Customer engagements at both technical and executive levels in within Financial Services
