About the role

Overview The Rainmaker Group has an established reputation as being the leading providers of information to the financial services industry. We are viewed as thought leaders and our services utilised to connect different sectors of Wealth Management in assisting clients with their industry intelligence, marketing and distribution capabilities. Due to an ever-growing product base and consistent company successes - an exciting opportunity exists for a Business Development Associate (BDA) to join the Technical Sales team based out of the Sydney office.  Working amongst a close-knit team of Sales, Client Services and Marketing professionals, the BDA will be reporting to the Head of Business Development in the Technical Sales team. Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Technical Sales team and assist the Head of Business Development achieve overall sales targets through sales support and administration
  • Assist with research, strategy and material preparation, as well as client calls and correspondence in targeted campaigns
  • Take on individual sales and revenue targets through a proactive sales effort, by building relationships and utilising a solutions-based sales approach
  • Develop ongoing solutions for clients by uncovering their challenges, identifying sales opportunities and showcasing the benefits of Rainmaker’s full suite of products and services
  • Maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, or a related discipline
  • Must have a minimum 3 years in sales/sales support experience in Financial Services and preferably in the Australian Wealth Management industry
  • With strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be tech savvy with intermediate MS Office, Excel and multimedia skills
  • Enthusiastic, autonomous, self-motivated and have a team-based approach to success

    Sales Pipeline Fulfilment

    Ensure the top of the sales pipeline is adequately filled with quality leads

    Outbound Prospecting

    Generate new sales opportunities and move them through the funnel by drafting outreach messages and sequences, and identifying the needs of customers

    Lead Qualification

    Determine which prospective customers are most likely to purchase the organization's product/service, using a lead specific qualification framework
