The opportunity The Member & Advice (M&A) Business Specialist sits within UniSuper’s Strategy Delivery team whose purpose is to bring deep understanding and ownership of business initiatives supporting the delivery of our business and customer strategy.  Providing support to the Business Product Owner you will collaborate with stakeholders to capture and document opportunities, develop requirements and support successful implementation. Your work will support ongoing operational and strategic improvements across various initiatives, spanning BAU to large-scale projects.  This is an exciting opportunity to dive into existing frameworks and processes, identify areas for enhancement, and drive efficiency and effectiveness. As a bridge between the business and technical experts, you’ll ensure that complete requirements contribute to seamless change delivery.   • Collaborate with stakeholders to define detailed functional and non-functional requirements, transition from operational needs to requirements, and estimate delivery
  • Assess impact of changes to requirements and reprioritisation in collaboration with technical SMEs
  • Provide operational support incl. BAU backlog management, prioritisation and grooming, and assistance with delivery of other BAU work
  • Triage, diagnosis, troubleshooting the escalation of customer and business incidents and requests, in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders

About you As part of your role you will work as the conduit between strategy and execution, where you have demonstrated experience in building and cultivating effective partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders.  Your ability to identify and understand the key priorities, how to influence at all levels and how best to execute tactfully will see you achieve exceptional outcomes.  In addition, your capabilities include:

  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment / industry
  • Understanding of and experience working in an Agile team environment
  • Previous experience conducting analyses of business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating requirements into actionable deliverables
  • Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management experience with the ability to explain complex and technical information in simple terms
  • Broad technical understanding of cloud, application, API and integration technologies
