About the role
Hatch’s Matching Science predicts fit between people and jobs by looking beyond the
resume and into the underlying traits relevant for the role - such as skills, strengths, work styles,
interests, and values, not just the university they studied at or their last job title. We are building state-of-the-art models that take advantage of our domain expertise and utilise our unique outcome data not available on other platforms.
Our recommendation systems have already predicted 2 billion recommendations to our candidates, with over 50% of recommendations incorporating team values and work styles fit, leading to 80% of applications from roles that are in the recommendations for the corresponding candidates.
As our Head of Machine Learning and AI, you will own our overall matching technology strategy and delivery, working closely with our Senior Data Scientist and the broader product team. Your team will grow as we do. You will seek to build a matching system that draws on the latest advances in ML and AI coupled with a best practice user experience. You will have scope to think creatively about data sources, feedback loops, and experimental user experiences. You will connect into the academic world to identify opportunities for better matching solutions.
