About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of Ecosystem to join our team at Fishburners.

In this key role, you will help drive the next phase of Fishburners' growth by building, nurturing, and expanding partnerships that fuel our startup community, driving ecosystem growth and wider business opportunities. You’ll also be responsible for scaling our brand presence and ensuring that Fishburners remains a leading force in supporting Australian startups.

  • Growth Strategy: Lead and execute strategic initiatives that drive membership growth across both physical coworking spaces and virtual platforms.
  • Partnership Development: Identify, engage, and establish partnerships with corporates, government bodies, investors, educational institutions, and key players in the startup ecosystem.
  • Revenue Growth: Develop and implement plans to increase revenue through partnerships, sponsorships, and other commercial opportunities.
  • Community Engagement: Work closely with the startup community to understand their needs and align partnerships to deliver impactful services and resources.
  • Marketing & Brand Growth: Collaborate with the marketing team to expand Fishburners' brand presence through strategic campaigns, partnerships, and events.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Lead a team focused on partnerships and growth initiatives, and work cross-functionally with teams in operations, events, product, and community.

About You:

  • Proven experience in a senior growth or partnerships role, ideally within the tech, innovation, or startup sector.
  • A track record of building successful partnerships that drive business growth.
  • Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem and experience working with founders, investors, and corporate partners.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to execute and deliver results.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Passion for innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship.

The budgeted salary for this role is $100K.

What you'll be responsible for

    Community Management

    Create a positive community amongst stakeholders with ongoing support and conversations, to strengthen relationships, foster loyalty, and increase advocacy

  • Event Management

    Plan, coordinate, execute, and assess events for internal and external stakeholders that achieve a specific goal

    Brand and Licensing Analysis

    Facilitate financial forecasting, budgets, invoicing, royalties, and revenue targets for the licensing business
