About the role
Role Details:
As a UX Designer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design of a digital card experience for business customers. You will perform gap analysis on existing features, identify opportunities for improvement, and leverage existing design patterns to create a seamless and scalable solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design: Create user flows, prototypes, and polished UI designs that clearly communicate user journeys.
- Gap Analysis & UX Patterns: Review existing user flows, identify friction points, and apply established design patterns to improve usability.
- Design System Execution: Work with Westpac’s design pattern, ensuring designs align with branding and accessibility standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with Product, Technology, Risk, and Compliance teams to refine designs and ensure feasibility.
- User Research & Testing: Run usability testing and incorporate customer feedback into design improvements.
- Process & Compliance Awareness: Understand product and design meet regulatory requirements.
Key Skills:
- UX/UI Design: Hands-on Figma experience
- End-to-End Design Experience: Comfortable driving UX work from discovery through to final implementation.
- Stakeholder & Project Management: Experience managing scope and stakeholders
- Risk & Process Awareness: Ability to identify design risks early, track and resolve
- Accessibility: Experience designing for accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1 AA)
- User Research & Testing: Ability to conduct usability tests and translate insights into design improvements.
- Financial Services Experience (Preferred): Experience designing for business banking, fintech, or regulated industries is a plus.

Monitor, improve, and evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and risk management processes
