About the job

As a Senior Specialist Family Violence Practitioner (Person Using Violence), you will play a vital role in delivering intensive, short-term, risk-focused interventions to men using violence. This job is crucial for ensuring timely, coordinated, and trauma-informed interventions that enhance safety for victim survivors. The team thrives on collaboration, working closely with Victoria Police and specialist family violence services to create a unified response that prioritises safety and accountability.

You'll be responsible for

🔍

Identifying, assessing, and prioritising serious family violence risk

Using a gendered, trauma-informed lens aligned with MARAM, Safe and Equal, and TSA’s Family Violence Model of Care.
📝

Conducting intake and dynamic risk assessments

As the first point of contact, ensuring timely, defensible decisions that centre the safety of victim survivors and children.
🛑

Engaging safely and professionally with both victim survivors and people using violence

Upholding boundaries, conflict-of-interest requirements, and a strong risk focus to prioritise those at greatest risk.

Tertiary qualifications

Relevant qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent.
