About the job

As an AOD Practitioner at The Salvation Army, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering evidence-based counselling and recovery-focused interventions for individuals and families facing alcohol and other drug-related challenges. This role is vital in providing hope, compassion, and dignity to those in need, as you work within a dedicated multidisciplinary team in the Northern Victoria Alcohol and Other Drug Services. The team values collaboration, support, and a person-centred approach to treatment.

You'll be responsible for

Delivering counselling and recovery interventions

Providing evidence-based counselling and recovery interventions tailored to client complexity and needs.

Providing case management

Aligning case management with The Salvation Army models and standards of practice.

Developing treatment plans

Creating collaborative treatment plans that support client goals, wellbeing, and recovery.

Key criteria

🎓

Tertiary qualification in social work

Possession of a relevant degree or diploma in social work.
