The Assistant Arborist position offers an exciting opportunity to join the Trees and Urban Forest Team within the City Presentation Department. In this hands-on outdoor job, you will play a vital role in maintaining the health and safety of the city’s urban forest while working collaboratively with a dedicated team. A strong focus on safety and high standards of customer service is essential as you contribute to the beauty and functionality of Moonee Valley's streets and parks.

You'll be responsible for

Maintaining knowledge

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current street and parks tree maintenance practices and associated tools and equipment.
🔧

Operating equipment

Ensure the safe and effective operation and maintenance of plant, machinery, tools and equipment.

Conducting checks

Undertake safety and maintenance checks in accordance with set procedures and safe work practices and report defects to Supervisor.

Tree maintenance experience

Demonstrated experience in street and park tree maintenance.

Valid driver's licence
