An exciting opportunity awaits for a passionate Cyber Security Threat Hunt & Detection Analyst to join a dynamic Cyber Security Practice team. In this pivotal job, you’ll be at the forefront of protecting Australia’s digital future by strengthening proactive cyber defence through threat hunts and developing detection analytics. Collaboration is key as you work closely with platform owners and Incident Response to enhance detection capabilities and ensure timely containment of cyber threats.
You'll be responsible for

Conducting threat hunts
Help strengthen proactive cyber defence by identifying suspicious behaviours and emerging attack techniques using internal telemetry and external intelligence.📊
Developing detection analytics
Create and refine detection rules, tune alerts to reduce false positives, and update runbooks and playbooks across SIEM, XDR, and EDR platforms.📜
Maintaining audit-ready documentation
Apply privacy-by-design principles when handling sensitive information and ensure documentation is ready for audits.Key criteria
